I received a request to help publicize a celebration by the USAFA Cadet Drum & Bugle Corps to mark the 50th anniversary of the formation of The Flight of Sound. The request came from Mr. Scott Smith, Steering Committee Chair. Here is what he asked that I pass on to our class:
Attention in the Area! If you were ever a member of the USAFA Cadet Drum & Bugle Corps for any length of time, please be aware that they are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the formation of The Flight of Sound this fall, September 24-25, 2021, at the Academy (Falcons versus Florida Atlantic University). All former members are invited to attend…and maybe even perform as a part of the Alumni Corps. Registration will commence later this summer. Hotel rooms are already being booked. If you want more information, please email drum.bugle@usafa.edu.
