I received a news update from Kate Smith.
She's in a Master’s Degree program in Public Leadership at the University of San Francisco. It was designed as a hybrid model but the weekend on-campus classes and sessions in D.C. were cancelled due to Covid restrictions. She told me she has a capstone project this summer but could graduate in May. However, she'll probably push graduation out to Dec 2021 so that she can participate in an in-person ceremony. Kate said that last semester she had straight As for the first time ever! But she did allow as to how having just 15 credit hours makes it a bit easier than USAFA...!
For work, She's been organizing veterans across the country through a grassroots veteran’s organization called Common Defense. The picture she sent was during an advocacy trip to D.C.
