Yesterday the Association of Graduates released the results of the 2021 election. You can read all the details here, but this is the condensed version:
Unfortunately, Abel Barrientes was unsuccessful in his bid for a seat on the AOG board of directors.
Our class' participation rate was the highest for the '80s decade (50.5%), and number eight out of all classes. Here's how the top ten classes stacked up:
1969 - 65.8%
1966 - 62.8%
1975 - 61.2%
1972 - 61.0%
1976 - 53.6
1979 - 51.4%
1968 - 50.8%
1982 - 50.5%
1967 - 50.2%
1980 - 48.1%
This means our class gift fund will receive $500 from the AOG as a reward for our phenomenal voter turnout. My sincere thanks to all of you who voted!
The overall voter participation rate among all classes was 27.64%, exceeding the 25% quorum required to effect changes to the bylaws.
Both proposed bylaw changes passed, by significant margins
Again, my thanks to those of you who participated in the election. You made a difference!
