Captain Larry Walker, '86, has been tasked by the Commandant to put together a "USAFA Traditions" book. When completed, the book will list official and unofficial Cadet Wing traditions, as well as some oft-repeated lore and a history of the Academy. The intent is to provide a copy to each Doolie upon his or her recognition as a Cadet. I've reproduced a version of his working copy that you can read here. You'll see my comments shown in red. You can also download a copy of the MS-Word source document (Word 95/6.0 format) by clicking here. Note, you may have to "right click" on the link and select "Save Target As..." to keep your browser from opening and displaying the MS-Word file. Also be warned--the file is 955KB due to an imbedded picture! If you'd like to contribute (and I hope you will!), mark up the MS-Word file and E-mail it to Capt Walker at WalkerLJ.34EDG.USAFA(nospam)@usafa.af.mil. Or simply send him an E-mail with your comment, addition, or corrections. You can also contact Capt Walker as follows: (719) 333-3697 Please pass word about this project to all your grad friends. The hope is that many of the grads from "the brownshoe days" will make contributions. So far, participation has been limited to more recent classes. Thanks for your help!
